Job Summary/Basic Function:

Lecturers are non-tenure-track faculty whose primary responsibility is teaching non-clinical courses in degree and/or certificate programs for an academic year.

Level Scope:

Non-tenure, may undertake teaching, research and administrative duties within a specialist subject area. Four years of contractual experience which may involve teaching while on a lecturer contract at Boise State University or equivalent position at another institution.

Essential Functions:

60% of Time the Lecturer must:
● Teaching
● Course Coordinations
● Design, develop, and deliver material using a range of methods and platforms.
● Create course material, lesson plans, and curricula
● Engage with students, assist with processing applications, and also attend interviews, conferences, and meetings

The School of Social Work is looking to hire two Lecturers to teach in the face-to-face BSW and MSW programs.
The 1st position is a 9 month lecturer to teach 4 separate 3-credit clinically focused practice courses each semester across both BSW and MSW face-to-face programs.
The 2nd position is a 9 month lecturer to teach 4 separate 3-credit macro practice courses (research, policy, leadership and HBSE) across both BSW and MSW face-to-face programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Master’s degree with four years of contractual experience, or a terminal degree within
one’s discipline and less than four years contractual experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Accredited MSW and
● 4 years experience practicing
