The role of the postdoc in this team will be to develop and conduct numerical experiments using the Community Land Model-Functionally Assembled Terrestrial Ecosystem Simulator (CLM-FATES) model to examine how roots can be better represented in global land models in the context of emerging knowledge about the structure and function of Earth’s Critical Zone. The successful candidate will join a team of postdocs at collaborating institutions, gaining immediate benefits of an interdisciplinary network of early career researchers and the associated benefits of contributing to and being included in diverse publications during the project, and nurturing potentially long-lasting collaborators.
