Lecturer 1 - Criminal Justice Boise, ID
The Criminal Justice (CJ) Program at Boise State University seeks applicants for a temporary, two-year, full-time (nine month) Lecturer I. We seek a student-oriented Lecturer with experience designing and delivering learning experiences to undergraduate students. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching four undergraduate CJ classes per semester in a range of subjects, including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Policing, Introduction to Courts and Sentencing, Introduction to Corrections; and Victimology and Victims (among other possible classes) as needed. This is an opportunity to influence students in a meaningful way as they prepare for their careers. The work location will be in the CJ office space on the main campus of Boise State. Classes may be delivered in person, online, and/or via hybrid modality, based on the needs of the CJ program.

Each year, Boise State University prepares an Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report as part of the University's commitment to safety and security on campus and in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Crime Statistics Act. The report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on the main Boise State campus, all of Boise State's separate campuses, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Boise State, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from Boise State's campuses. Also included in the report are the University's institutional policies and procedures concerning campus security, including those related to sexual assault, campus alerts, drug and alcohol use, and others.
