Assistant Clinical or Assistant Teaching Professor - Entrepreneurship in Boise, ID
The Boise State University Department of Management, within the College of Business and Economics, is hiring an Assistant Clinical or Assistant Teaching professor (both non-tenure-track) in the area of Entrepreneurship to begin Fall 2025. The faculty member will teach entrepreneurship and related courses, mentor students, and interact with local entrepreneurial communities. The expected course load is 3-3 per academic year. Clinical and teaching professors must meet college research expectations to be AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA), which includes a terminal degree and research within entrepreneurship or management discipline. The distinction between a clinical track and a teaching track pertains to the service workload of the faculty member as noted in more detail below. A commitment to service and collegial interaction with other faculty, staff, and students is critical for success. In terms of the service workload, Clinical faculty occupy a unique niche that spans boundaries between the college and its practice communities in a way that exceeds the expectations of tenure-track faculty. Unlike clinical faculty, teaching faculty may not necessarily have service responsibilities focused on community engagement but are expected to provide service to the department, college, and university.
