Job Summary/Basic Function:

Compiles and organizes data to derive meaningful insights. Organizes tasks, documents activities and information, assists with projects. Assists in guiding department work plans based on key metrics and analysis.

Level Scope:

Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of areas typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Functions:

● Prepares deliverables for use in planning and reporting, using appropriate tools.
● Communicates clearly and regularly, follows up on inquiries and requests.
● Extracts and combines data from multiple systems for the purposes of reporting and analysis.
● Applies analytical and problem solving skills to address novel questions or issues
● Learns and adapts new technical/procedural knowledge/skills to keep up to date on professional skills and office needs.
● Contributes to the development of analytical reports to answer business questions.
● Conducts needs assessments and research.
● Develops productive working relationships with a team and broadly with diverse groups of people.
● Publishes standard and complex ad-hoc reports with varying detail for different audiences.
● Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
● Works as needed, with functional area data stewards to align or improve processes
● Engage in Data Quality, documentation, and process improvement.
● Perform other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Ability to ensure validity, reliability, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of all work completed.
● Experience developing data models and programming in languages or applications as needed to support the development of reports and analysis to answer strategic, tactical, structured, or unstructured business questions.
● Good knowledge of fundamentals of reporting and analyses.
● Ability to independently research problem areas.
● Ability to ensure validity, reliability, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of all work completed.
● Highly developed verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to present and communicate complex technical information, problems and alternative solutions to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
● Understanding of applying analytical methods to business problems, driving improved decision making and outcomes.
● Strong understanding of human resources information systems (HRIS) with the ability to provide technical and analytical guidance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent plus 5 years experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

● 2-3 years of advanced experience in; Microsoft Excel, building data dashboards and running statistical analyses.
● At least 1 year of experience with Human Resources modules in ORACLE HCM applications.
● At least 1 year of experience in Higher Education.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary $69,326.40 - $73,500/yr; commensurate with experience.
