Educational Development Specialist Boise, ID
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Boise State University is looking for an experienced educator with significant expertise in higher education service-learning, community-engaged learning, and experiential learning. As an Educational Development Specialist, you’ll join the CTL’s Service-Learning team to support educators and students in integrating academic learning with meaningful community engagement to deepen student learning, address community issues, and strengthen students’ capacity to contribute to the public good. You’ll also collaborate closely with other campus stakeholders, contributing to a campus culture that values community engagement as a high-impact strategy for teaching and learning. This is a busy and fun job in a professional setting that is at the forefront of Boise State’s efforts to be a student-ready institution. The person in this position will have lots of opportunities to interact with educators and staff across campus while expanding their professional skills. We welcome applications from candidates with a wide range of life and professional experiences in higher education. This is an in-person position on the Boise State campus, although up to two remote work days per week are negotiable. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. As an Educational Development Specialist, you’ll join our team of staff and faculty associates dedicated to supporting impactful student learning at Boise State University. The successful candidate will work as part of the CTL’s team of educational developers, contributing to the work of the center based on a background in composition pedagogy and writing across the disciplines. You’ll also collaborate closely with other stakeholders in writing, contributing to a campus culture that values writing as a tool for teaching and learning. This is a meaningful job, with good colleagues, in a professional setting that is at the forefront of Boise State’s efforts to be a student-ready institution. The person in this position will have lots of opportunities to interact with educators and staff across campus while developing professional skills. This is an entry level position in the field of educational development, and we welcome applications from candidates with a wide range of life and professional experiences in higher education. This is an in-person position on the Boise State campus, although up to two remote work days per week are negotiable. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
