Join a creative and innovative faculty in the Department of Educational Leadership, Research and Technology (ELRT) in the College of Education at Boise State University. We invite applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank focusing on research and technology with interests and expertise in qualitative and/or mixed methods research and the use and development of educational technology.
We are looking for a visionary colleague who will collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and deliver high-quality graduate programs that respond to a changing educational landscape. Our programs aim, through research, teaching, and service to our students, graduates, and partners, to strengthen educational opportunities and outcomes for all students. We look to hire someone who will contribute to our philosophy of cultivating educational leaders dedicated to promoting innovation and socially equitable solutions for a variety of educational settings.
Key responsibilities for this role include teaching graduate courses, cultivating a robust research program supported by external funding sources, mentoring graduate students, and actively participating in university and professional service activities. The successful candidate will join the faculty in Boise in the fall of 2025.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Ph.D. or Ed.D. in education, the learning sciences, or a closely related field, by the time of appointment (Fall 2025)

Demonstrated potential for impactful scholarship or creative activity, for example, in the form of publications, grant writing, securing contracts, and sustained contributions to educational research,
-
Demonstrated ability or potential to partner with schools, school districts, post-secondary institutions, and other educational agencies,
-
Experience or potential for effective teaching across face-to-face, online, and hybrid environments,
-
Experience or potential for recruiting and advising students.
Preferred Qualifications

Experiences with integrated curriculum formats, and/or experiential learning,

Evidence of instructional leadership,

Evidence of scholarship related to innovative research practices,

Experience seeking and/or integrating feedback from university and/or community partners,

Demonstrated experience working with graduate students, and

Expertise in systems-level change to improve the experiences of diverse P-12 and/or higher education faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits
Salary ranges from $73,000 - $87,000, (9-month contract), Commensurate with rank and experience.
Our standard faculty contract is a 9-month contract with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. More information about faculty contracts and work days is available here.
