The Boise State University Department of Management, within the College of Business and Economics, invites applications for a lecturer in the area of Legal Studies in Business. The faculty member will teach business law and related courses. This is primarily a teaching role with a standard course load of 4-4. Courses taught will be a combination of in-person and remote or online. A commitment to service and collegial interaction with other faculty, staff, and students is desirable. The successful applicant must reside locally, or be willing to relocate to the Boise area.
Department Overview:
The Department of Management hosts the most majors in the College of Business and Economics, with over 1,000 students majoring in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, or International Business. The Department is also home to over 250 non-traditional students in our innovative online Management degree completion program. In graduate education, we provide courses in four MBA programs, including our nationally recognized online MBA program.

The college’s academic units are housed in the Micron Business and Economics Building, a world-class facility with state-of-the-art classrooms and offices, a Bloomberg-equipped trading room, faculty collaboration spaces, the Imagination Lab, a student commons, and a cafe. The building is a short distance from the beautiful Boise River. It is both geothermal and solar-assisted. This environment stimulates collaboration and creativity.

Minimum qualifications:
- A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Preferred qualifications:
- At least one year of experience teaching face-to-face undergraduate Legal Studies in Business courses.
- At least one year of experience teaching online undergraduate Legal Studies in Business courses.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary is competitive with AACSB medians based on comparable business colleges.
Our standard faculty contract is a 9-month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. More information about faculty contracts and work days is available here.
