Job Summary/Basic Function: |
Lead the university’s digital accessibility compliance efforts and provide strategic leadership and guidance around digital accessibility laws to ensure the university’s technologies, platforms, and digital content are accessible in conformance with the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. |

Level Scope: |
Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of area typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures. |
Essential Functions: |
● Review vendor and 3rd party VPATs/conformance reports and conduct manual testing of technologies during the University procurement process utilizing assistive technology software applications (e.g., JAWS, ZoomText, VoiceOver) to identify accessibility barriers based on applicable standards and mobile phone platform accessibility guidelines (i.e., WCAG 2.X Level AA standards). |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
● Knowledge of assistive technologies and best practices for utilizing such technologies. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Systems, or related discipline and 5 years of experience in a digital accessibility field, or equivalent educational and/or professional experience. |
Salary and Benefits: |
