Job Summary/Basic Function:

Responsible for the maintenance and development of the catalog in both PeopleSoft and as an online document. Reviews curricular data for accuracy and compliance with university policy. The position has the responsibility of maintaining the Registrar’s website and the university curriculum committee website. Coordinates with departments across campus to publish the catalog information. Creates and maintains office forms to ensure they are ADA compliant for students and staff to access online.

Department Overview:

The Office of the Registrar is the hub of the University. We provide assistance with transcripts, registration and course scheduling, transfer credit and graduation evaluation, determination of Idaho residency for tuition, and catalog information.

Level Scope:

Regularly works on tasks that are varied and complex. Applies full range and job knowledge; frequently adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet specialized needs; may serve as lead; performs broad and/or focused assignments under general supervision; originality and ingenuity are often required to help establish procedures in functional area; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks.

Essential Functions:

Maintains PeopleSoft and Kuali Catalog:

  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the university catalog of courses within PeopleSoft (the university’s integrated student information system).
  • Updates, changes, and removes curricular information as approved through the channels concluding with the Provost’s Office.
  • Maintains and builds course requisites based on approved curriculum.
  • Coordinates with the Customer Service and Residency Senior Coordinator to troubleshoot and resolve any requisite issues.

Maintains the Registrar’s Office website, forms, academic calendar:

  • Performs setup and maintenance of content on the Registrar’s Office website.
  • Ensures the integrity of the website data.
  • Creates and maintains university forms.
  • Works to ensure the office forms are ADA compliant and available online.
  • Recommends modifications and changes to meet department and curricular needs.
  • Responsible for maintaining the university curriculum committee, undergraduate and graduate catalog websites.
  • Coordinates with the Registrar and the systems team PIC to create and maintain the academic calendar.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Some knowledge of computer hardware and software installation; supervisory practices; training methods.
  • Experience managing document flow.
Minimum Qualifications:

Some knowledge of: personal computer trends, capabilities, and terminology

Experience that demonstrates good knowledge of: manual and automated record management systems.

Experience: using a personal computer for data management and statistical analyses; interpreting and applying laws, rules, and procedures; performing liaison activities to deal with individuals or resolve conflicts in a work setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education work experience
  • Solid computer/technical skills.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and make decisions.
  • Experience maintaining web content
Salary and Benefits:
