Job Summary/Basic Function: |
This position is responsible for assessing and aligning people-focused initiatives with the Foundation’s vision, mission, and core values. Focused on enhancing the employee experience, this position develops and implements strategies that support employee development, engagement, and overall performance. This position is also responsible for creating and implementing strategies emphasizing quality, productivity, and standards designed to attract, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing and engaged employees. Working across all levels of the organization, this role provides guidance on employee relations, internal policy development, and process improvements to drive engagement and operational excellence. With a high degree of independent discretion, they will support initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a positive and high-performing work environment. |
Department Overview: |
A nonprofit Idaho organization, the Boise State University Foundation was established in 1964 for the benefit of Boise State University. We work to secure philanthropic support for the university by developing and nurturing relationships with our alumni and friends and stewarding gifts made to support Boise State. The Foundation works closely with university leadership, the Boise State University Alumni Association, and the Bronco Athletic Association.

Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of areas typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures. |

Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of professional experience or equivalent. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Experience working in higher education; background in talent management, recruitment, and employee relations. |
Salary and Benefits: |
