Job Summary/Basic Function: |
Boise State University is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Business Intelligence and Reporting Services (BIRS) team. This role will support the development, enhancement, and delivery of data-driven solutions that empower decision-making across the university. The analyst will play a key role in gathering requirements by working with stakeholders to develop business cases and user stories, ensuring that data solutions align with university goals. They will also contribute to Agile development processes, participate in data governance initiatives, and collaborate with developers to optimize data structures for reporting and analytics. This role reports to the Business Intelligence and Reporting Services (BIRS) team and will collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO), Enterprise Information Architect, and various university departments. |

Boise State’s Business Intelligence and Reporting Services (BIRS) team prepares and delivers data from enterprise source systems for analytical purposes in an organized and accessible manner via enterprise business intelligence tools. The end-user products are typically in the form of reports, dashboards, and visualizations. |

Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute on a project or work team. Incumbent learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Salary and Benefits: |
