Job Summary/Basic Function: |
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of several compliance areas, including the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other related laws. Additionally, this position will oversee the university’s Minors on Campus Coordinator and responsibilities related to policy 12060 (Protection of Minors) as well as the Digital Accessibility Coordinator. This position will serve in a leadership role alongside the AVP for Compliance, aiding with institutional compliance risk assessments, mitigation, and monitoring. Finally, the position may conduct investigations of policy violations, including fraud, waste, abuse, complaints relating to grants and contracts, and other matters as needed to support overall university compliance efforts. |

Level Scope: |
Spends the majority of time (50% or more) achieving organizational objectives through the coordinated achievements of subordinate staff. Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Establishes departmental goals and objectives, functions with autonomy. Manages the accountability and stewardship of human, financial, and often physical resources in compliance with departmental and campus wide goals and objectives. Ensures subordinate supervisors and professionals adhere to defined internal controls with a focus on policy and strategy implementation. Manages systems and procedures to protect departmental assets and requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one area. May report to a Chair, Unit Director, or equivalent administrative management. |
Essential Functions: |
● Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the university’s efforts aimed at compliance with the ADA, Section 504, and related laws. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
● Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 5 years of experience writing or interpreting policy, conducting investigations, or administering compliance programs. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
● Master’s degree or relevant terminal degree in law, education, management, public administration, public policy, human resources or other relevant discipline. |
Salary and Benefits: |
