Job Summary/Basic Function: |
This position will lead the creation and execution of top-level university efforts to reach key audiences through all available marketing means - and employ analytics and follow-up research to determine which ways provide the most return for a limited marketing budget. The position has proactive responsibility for developing and driving communication strategies. |

The Department of Student Communications and Marketing, within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and informed campus community by serving as the central hub for all official communications directed at prospective and current students. Our mission is to effectively engage, inform, and inspire students throughout their academic journey, from prospective applicants to proud alumni. We achieve this by crafting compelling narratives, developing innovative marketing strategies, and providing essential resources that enhance the student experience and support the university's strategic goals. |
Level Scope: |
Manages a large team typically consisting of both experienced professionals and subordinate Managers. Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short to mid term focus; significant responsibility to achieve broadly stated goals through subordinate Managers. Determines objectives, directs programs, develops strategies and policies, manages human, financial, and physical resources, and functions with a high degree of autonomy. Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead a project or program teams in one dept/job family. Proactively assesses risk to establish systems and procedures to protect organizational assets. Determines campus strategies for a program with campus wide impact. |
Essential Functions: |
60% of time the Associate Director of Communications will:
35% of time the Associate Director of Communications will:

Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8 years experience including 3 years managerial experience |
