To support/assist in eSports program, laboratory and arena management

Department Overview:

Level Scope:

Applies skills and job knowledge in area of specialization; may adapt procedures, operations, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet the needs of area of specialization; may work on non-routine tasks; resolves issues/makes working decisions within area of specialization or responsibility with minimal supervision

Essential Functions:

60 % of the time, the Esports Broadcast Operations Manager will:
● Assist Director/Head Coach in coordination of projects and initiatives as needed
● Creative development of broadcast and event assets and scripts to provide branded live esports productions and tournaments.
● Schedule, manage, and organize esports tournaments
● Manage arena space and facilities
● Manage and direct partner broadcasts
● Manage and oversee Arena and Battleground events
● Train and supervise student employees with a minimum level of work experience.
● Manages the open and close of Battleground and Arena
● Maintains computer hardware and software, including repairs, updates, and routine maintenance
● Assists and trains students and visitors on lab equipment, procedures, and software

35 % of the time, the Esports Broadcast Operations Manager will:

● Represent esports at college-level meetings
● Administrative duties, including but not limited to: scheduling tours, reception, email inquiries
● Promote sponsorship opportunities to potential sponsors
● Purchasing responsibilities, including technology acquisition and integration

5% of the time, the Esports Broadcast Operations Manager will:

● Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Knowledge of broadcast procedures and protocols
● Knowledge and understanding of esports games and team play
● Ability to clearly communicate information verbally and in written forms
● Ability to learn software used in lab
● Ability to complete work in a timely manner
● Ability to use visual design software and editing tools, and live streaming software
● Strong organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications:

● Equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education performing related work

Preferred Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
● Student supervisory experience
● Ability to multitask under pressure and willing to work within tight deadlines
● Experience with the following: Vmix, ggLeap, Blackmagic, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects, Unreal Engine
Salary and Benefits:

Salary range starting at $42,452/year; commensurate with experience.
