The Salesforce CRM Analytics Administrator will be responsible for analyzing data and generating insights to optimize our Salesforce CRM platform and the ongoing configuration, support, maintenance, administration and security of Boise State's Salesforce orgs. The Salesforce Administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to implement new business processes that use Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Education Data Architecture, Advisor Link, and Admissions Connect. This role will primarily focus on Salesforce CRM Analytics related duties, but will also be required to conduct other Salesforce Administrator tasks as noted below.

Department Overview:

The Office of Information Technology’s Cloud Services and Infrastructure team is responsible for architecting, installing, maintaining and supporting enterprise compute, storage, and backup platforms for Boise State University. This team is responsible for providing and maintaining virtual servers, and enterprise file, directory and authentication services. In addition, the Cloud Services and Infrastructure team works closely with Networking Services, Identity Management and Accounts, 2nd tier support, and the Project Management Office to provide and support many other enterprise applications, including email, web services, SSO and MFA.

Essential Functions:
|
40% of the time the Salesforce Administrator must:
- Analyze university data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform CRM strategies.
- Responsible for defining the underlying Analytics Technical Solution (dataflows, data transformations, lenses, AI approach etc.)
- Performs CRM Analytics technical development and configuration of dashboards, data preparation, insights and data profiling/exploration.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business objectives.
- Utilize CRM software and analytics tools to extract, clean, and analyze data.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
- Provides development oversight and best practices in Analytics development and data prep/modeling efforts.
- Acts as the technical point of escalation for CRM Analytics related questions and issues.
30% of the time the Salesforce Administrator must:
- Implement Salesforce to improve processes and productivity.
- Own all technical Salesforce duties and responsibilities.
- Serve as the Salesforce Administrator for an environment with approximately 50
Salesforce users and serving 25,000 current students and 3,000 employees. Collaborate with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator on common administration responsibilities and duties.
- In collaboration with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator, create and
maintain Marketing Cloud Automations / Data Extensions and connector data transfer processes.
- Securely administer, manage, and maintain Salesforce functions.
- Develop and implement and advanced Salesforce configurations.
- Collaborate with Salesforce, support vendors and internal technical staff to troubleshoot and apply new features, upgrades and patches.
- Identify project risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve issues.
- Maintain current knowledge of Salesforce developments and enhancements.
- Maximize efficiency and capitalize on the full features and benefits of Salesforce.
25% of the time the Salesforce Administrator must:
- Assist with training new users, and grow Salesforce skills across the organization.
- Collaborate with OIT leadership and staff, to establish release management processes and activities that complement existing release management activities for existing systems, e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials Cloud, etc.
- Communicate and manage all aspects of release management for Salesforce Core and AppExchange applications, including cadence, governance, change management, sandbox refreshes, testing, etc.
- Acquire sign-off from business units before migrating to production (testing management).
- Complete regular internal system audits.
- Identify areas of improvement and make actionable recommendations to increase operational efficiency and user adoption.
- Develop documentation of current processes and future enhancements.
- Direct the activities of one or more student employees.
5% of the time the Salesforce Administrator must:
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
|
- Strong understanding of Salesforce functionality and best practices.
- A documented history of successfully administering large and complex Salesforce orgs.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex requirements and implement Salesforce centric solutions.
- Ability to analyze alternative Salesforce solutions and determine the best option for addressing short-term needs while minimizing long-term overhead and maintenance.
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on upstream and downstream
Salesforce applications, systems and processes.
- Ability to map data integrations from other systems to the most relevant Salesforce objects and fields in the Education Data Architecture (EDA).
- Ability to develop and utilize models for efficiently and effectively managing user and API access via profiles, permission sets, permission set groups, enterprise-wide defaults, and sharing.
- Ability to automate complex, routine tasks.
- A track record of adhering to a "clicks over code" methodology.
- Ability to manage and optimize large data sets.
- Experience with higher education processes (preferred).
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the true underlying needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-discipline collaboration skills with demonstrated strength in verbal and written communications.
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
- Experience working with implementation partners.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment that includes Business Analysts, Project Managers, Salesforce Administrators, Architects, and stakeholders.
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment.
- Ability to be a Salesforce ambassador to other departments and potential adopters.

Minimum Qualifications:
|
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
|
Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified.
- Salesforce CRM Analytics certifications (e.g., Einstein Analytics and Discovery Consultant).
|
