Job Summary/Basic Function: |
Supports faculty development programming and internal operations, coordinates programs and projects that promote effective teaching, communication, and assessment, manages data and reporting processes, maintains the CTL’s web, newsletter, and social media presence, and provides logistical support for the Executive Director to help implement strategies that advance student and faculty success.
This is an in-person position on the Boise State campus, although up to two remote work days per week are negotiable. The successful candidate must be, or be willing to move to, within commuting distance to Boise State. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is the nucleus of a university culture that values teaching and learning. CTL staff foster dialogue, scholarship, innovation, and excellence in learner-centered teaching, and promote teaching and scholarship that mutually enhance one another for the benefit of students, faculty, and the community. The CTL reports to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies in the Provost’s Office.

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Essential Functions: |
60% of Time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:
- Plan, manage, budget, and support the implementation of programs and activities, including faculty development workshops and consultation offerings.
- Coordinate assessment documentation and reporting for faculty and student support activities.
- Provide campus-wide technical support and assistance for program development and maintenance activities.
- Plan, develop, and implement the overall communications strategy of the Center for Teaching & Learning, including the department’s newsletter and social media presence, collaboration with the Provost’s Office newsletter and Campus Update, and the review and approval of newsletter/blog communications.
- Conduct research and summarize data to inform decision-making, evaluate program effectiveness or alternatives, and support program development.
- Maintain and update the website with timely information; serve as the point of contact for upgrades and web compliance.
35% of Time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:
- Support the department’s assessment efforts by gathering utilization and survey data, coordinating assessment across the unit, and compiling the unit’s Annual Activity Report.
- Research, analyze, and compile information to prepare reports, address complaints, or resolve problems.
- Calendar, take notes, maintain agendas, and manage follow-up items for meetings facilitated by the Executive Director.
- Compose correspondence for the Executive Director on own initiative or from general instructions; format/type a variety of executive, sensitive, and/or confidential documents.
- Manage the Center for Teaching & Learning resource library, including the annual budget for new acquisitions.
- Assist with the management of events and projects as assigned, including calendaring, scheduling, and creating meeting agendas.
- May supervise a communications-focused student employee.
5% of Time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Demonstrated academic or professional experience cultivating a public presence for an organization through social media, web presence, and other channels
- Demonstrated academic or professional experience summarizing and presenting information to make it highly accessible for readers
- Demonstrated academic or professional experience and/or training in managing complex projects.

Salary and Benefits: |
Salary range is $53,000 rising to $55,000 annually and is commensurate with experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to):
