The Department of Management in the College of Business and Economics seeks candidates who are interested in teaching in an adjunct capacity. Adjuncts are needed for both fully online courses (online, asynchronous), remote classes (online, synchronous), and in-person classes. Topics include human resource management, international business, strategic management, leadership, general management, and entrepreneurship. An additional need is for professionals in the Resort and Hospitality industry, including legal experience.

The Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Management is responsible for teaching students in a designated area of specialization. They have responsibility for determining grades for course requirements based on course objectives and criteria as defined in the course syllabus. They work directly with the Associate Chair of the Management Department and the Business Operations Manager.

**Adjunct faculty are not required to participate as team members in shared governance, are not responsible for advising students, and are not voting members of the department.

Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester-to-semester basis. This is for a part-time, non-benefited role.

  • Demonstrates effective teaching.
  • Applies appropriate policies and regulations within the University, College, and School.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others within the University, College, and School.
  • Participates in activities promoting personal and professional educational growth.
  • Maintains expertise in teaching the area of specialization.
  • Serves as a professional role model for students.
  • Apply appropriate teaching methods supported by evidence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in the area of specialization or an MBA, or a J.D..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years of teaching experience is preferred.

Pay:

Wage is based upon educational degree and number of credits taught. The starting wage for an adjunct instructor is $1209/credit.
