Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Project Coordinator supports assessment and student success efforts including documentation, reporting, coordination of support efforts, and collaborating with campus partners.

The College of Innovation and Design (CI+D) launches innovative ideas and programs that bring value and competitive advantage to our students and supports our community. Our programs focus on increasing access, affordability, employability, and interdisciplinary research.

Level Scope:

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Essential Functions:

60% of Time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:
● Plan, manage, budget, and support implementation of programs and activities including faculty development workshops, and consultation offerings
● Coordinate assessment documentation and reporting for faculty and student support activities
● Provide campus-wide technical support and assistance for development and maintenance activities
● Develop and implement a communication plan (to internal and external audiences) including marketing materials, social media, and reports related to program initiatives
● Conduct research and summarize data to inform decision making, evaluate program effectiveness or alternatives, and to inform program development
● Maintain and update website with timely information, point of contact for upgrades and web compliance

35% of Time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must:

● Plan and coordinate multiple events per year. Duties include: creating schedules, maintaining -
budgets, managing invites to various stakeholders, purchasing supplies, and serving as the
main point of contact for participants throughout each event.
● Serve as Outreach Coordinator, checking in regularly with program participants, and maintain
alumni relationships following program completion.
● Streamline registration process and maintain Venture College CRM.
● Manage award processing for all competitions, which includes working in spreadsheets and
closely with the College of Innovation + Design’s Senior Business Operations Manager to
ensure timely payments.
● Write the bi-weekly Venture College newsletter, which includes interviewing and highlighting
student stories, upcoming programs, community resources and events, and more.

5% of Time the Programs & Projects Coordinator must perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a variety of print and electronic, and social media platforms
● Ability to think analytically and critically
● Experience planning and organizing events, projects, and delegating work
● Excellent attention to detail
● Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
● Exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions
● Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
● Strong interpersonal capabilities and ability to work in a team environment with other
leaders and stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

 

● Experience in a similar type of work: 4 years in Higher Education or with start-up companies
● Proven track record in the following: program development, management, implementation; or administration; comparable experience in terms of time and background in similar fields and education/degrees will be considered
● Primary program contact, including communications, logistics, scheduling, registrations, fee-
for-service collection, and start-up company support
● Demonstrate an innovative mindset to develop unique marketing ideas and determine creative ways to advance the mission of the program
● Maintain professional flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing priorities
● Ability to generate, cultivate and maintain business relationships with a diverse set of
stakeholders and demonstrate strong communication skills
● Proficient with technology, including software platforms such as Canva, Hootsuite, Adobe
Acrobat DC, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Google Workspace, Monday.com
Salary and Benefits:
