The distinction between a clinical track and a teaching track pertains to the service workload of the faculty member as noted in more detail below. A commitment to service and collegial interaction with other faculty, staff, and students is critical for success. In terms of the service workload, Clinical faculty occupy a unique niche that spans boundaries between the college and its practice communities in a way that exceeds the expectations of tenure-track faculty.
